Snow was falling lightly when the day started and continued on and off through the day. Snow on the ground was wet and heavy from the parking lot and got gradually better higher up. Not bringing skin wax was a mistake. We dug a quick pit at 1900 m and got a CTM12 about 35 cm down (storm snow layer), with a non-planar fracture line. Hand shears showed similar results. Storm snow was very unconsolidated, making for stellar skiing. The ski out was pleasant. At parking lot, it was raining.
