Quick report

Location: 1.5m snow-pit dug at base of GOS Gully #3. SE ~4100'. Objective: Familiarize party with snowpack analysis and practice compression tests. Results: CT-21-Q1 @10cm. Mostly stable snowpack, slightly variable hardness (4F-1F) from snow surface to bottom of pit. Repeated results in a hand pit (same aspect, ~4300' ) Implications: Coupled this result with avalanche forecast, previous and current conditions, and other data collected along the trail. Decision was made to continue 1/3 up the finger gullies as avalanches were in a low danger state.
