Quick report

Our group went out into the Blue Lakes area today. The weather was nice with clear skies, above freezing temperatures and almost no wind. Our group decided to utilize non-avalanche terrain to learn and practice avalanche rescue. Snow conditions were adequate for keeping snowmachines  cool and new snow provided for a decent riding surface. Open holes, running water, and drainages were one of our biggest hazards of the day. Almost all snow bridges are gone and difficult to find. Within our travels, we did not see any signs of instability in the surrounding terrain that we could see around us.
