Sent Mt Wow today in unbelievably springlike conditions. Snowpack was fairly nonexistent BTL under the conifers below 5k’ and was fairly meager NTL/ATL, depending on the aspect. More snowpack was present on eastern/northern portions of the dial and less present on southern/western portions of the dial. Booted the whole way today, although snowshoes would have been incredibly handy for some of the open meadow areas: the bootpen was over 10cm per step in many places; lots of corn in the sun and more stout refreeze crust in the shade. Observed lack of snowpack down Tahoma Creek drainage and a large natural slide off of a steep high elevation slope on the Tahoma Glacier.
