Quick report
Firm supportable to breakable crust below the inversion on most surfaces and temps remained below freezing in this zone even at noon. Inversion extended to near 4700’. Above inversion temps were much higher. Crust on east aspects had already softened by 10:50 and S aspects were transitioning. Northerlies still seemed to be holding dry snow. Trail in was very firm and highly polished from significant foot traffic, and saucer grooming.

My guess is 2 to 3 days old. Appears to be snowboard triggered as evidenced by the track leaving the top of the avalanche. The avalanche failed to ground upon release as seen in the photo.
