Quick report
Stayed at the Snow Bowl hut (~4250ft) 3/11 and 3/12. 3/11 mostly rained vs wet snow til evening, blew hard all night and rained til late morning on 3/12 then turned to fresh, delightful powder. Got a few hours of our best skiing of the season on a small slope next to the hut in ~10cm of fresh powder on 3/12 afternoon. Dug down to the ground for ~120cm total snowpack with obvious layering of fresh dry on top of the saturated wet from the day prior, some kind of firm (rain?) crust ~15cm down. Still snowing when we fell asleep on 3/12 but raining again by 3/13 morning (our aspirations for a few more morning laps were dashed by how wet and heavy everything was) and snow surrounding the hut had turned to slush vs wet dense. Lots of tree bombs and rapidly changing weather conditions but no signs of instability witnessed on this low angle terrain.
