Full sun, light to no wind.
Snowpack
No surface penetration until after 1pm at which point the SW aspect of the basin had about 1" of boot pen. Shaded surfaces remained firm until closer to the parking lot mid afternoon. Crampons would have been helpful in the morning to climb but was still possible without. Very warm air temperature in the sun but did little to affect the snow quickly enough.
