Traveled up to Mt McCausland via Smith Brook Creek to SE Ridge. We experienced local collapsing at 5500’ & 5700’ on the SE ridge. There west face of McCausland was heavily wind loaded with rime on the east side of trees. There was plenty of wind drifted snow and we say some localized slab formation and shooting cracks at 5600’ on the SW ridge at the entrance to the Ragnarok Couloir. We had an uneventful east face descent with minor sluffing. The snow started clumping on skis and skins for the descent and the road skin out.
