Quick report
Skied the Worm Flows route starting at 5 am. Very hot day with no cloud cover and a light to moderate wind. Expected some significant wet loose problems given the forecast and recent snowpack history, but none materialized. Rollerballs did not turn into pinwheels, and sluffs kicked off by skiers/glissaders did not entrain additional snow except in extremely isolated instances. We suspect that cooling from the wind had a large part in keeping the snow surface more stable than anticipated. Small glides cracks were opening in several locations (see picture), and we spied some recent (likely within the last ~3 days) small skier-triggered wet loose slides (see picture). Looking back up at the mountain after descending from the summit, there did not seem to be any natural roller ball/wet loose action over the course of the day. Have fun out there!
