Quick report
I went from Tragedy Springs to Plasse Peak today, and checked for Dec 12th facets in several places on shaded slopes +/-8,000ft. I found them to be loose and weak, and in two different locations I got unstable snowpack test results on the facets. In one location I couldn't trigger an ECT, even going beyond the 30 loading steps. But then I tried a Deep Tap test, which failed with Sudden Planar results. About a half mile away, I got two ECTs to fail and propagate on the Dec 12th facets.
Although all aspects observed had a thin crust on the surface, it was very fragile and riding conditions were excellent.
