Quick report
We toured up Judah and looked for signs of wind slab along the way. Cracking was isolated below skis and didn’t extend. When it was observed it was max 4in deep. On top of Judah visibility was obscured but we did observe what looked like a small dry loose triggered by cornice fall in Judah bowl. Skiing Judah and Donner shoulder, no signs of instability were observed. We descended from the Trestle summit and reskinned twice. Each lap, wet loose avalanches were easy to trigger on any steep rolls where terrain tipped above 35 degrees.
Avalanche
Several D1-1+ wet loose avalanches were skier triggered in the 6,000 to 7,000ft elevation band on Trestle peak on N - NE - E aspects primarily in terrain above 35 degrees. Some of these slides happened within in the new snow and some happened at the new/old snow interface. The biggest slide was approx 1.5 ft deep and began about 30 feet wide and quickly fanned out as it entrained more debris, growing to 150-200ft wide and moving through sub 30 degree trees.
