Quick report
We experienced a cold morning with a very light crust on sun exposed slopes, and fresh, large surface hoar on slopes open to the sky. Steep, cold slopes still held dry snow on the surface, and test slopes only produced minor sluffing, with no cracking observed today. We were able to ride test slopes immediately adjacent to where shallow, natural avalanches occurred recently, but today the adjacent slopes didn't produce results. Temperatures became warm mid day, and surfaces began to get moist. Test slopes similar to where we saw dry loose results began to display more clumping and wet loose characteristics. By our 2pm departure, cloud cover increased significantly and temperatures cooled again.
