Spectacular day cruising the St. Mary's drainage. With unlimited visibility it was awesome to get out and have a look around. We were pretty surprised at the lack of avalanche activity. The only thing we saw was a single size 2 avalanche on a south facing feature at treeline that appears to have failed on the Feb 22 crust. There was some minor pinwheeling in the afternoon as the temperature rose to +4 C at 1100 m. The surface snow became moist below about 1500 m in the afternoon, north and east facing aspects appeared to remain cool.
