Quick report

- large wet slab triggered broke about 20 feet above my friend as he was snowboarding - about D1.5-D2 in size - ran about 1000-1500 feet out the chute - a few roller balls but no significant signs of instability - snow started feeling a bit stickier and wet, implying we were there a bit late - observed a similar size slide across the glacier on a similar slope that must’ve triggered naturally - did not weight this high enough - observed additional natural wet slides and roller balls as we exited the chute that we hadn’t seen previously

Avalanche

Triggered a ~D2 wet slab that ran about 1000 feet through the nisqually chute. Released under a cornice at a SE aspect around 8400ft. Crown size ~1ft deep and 50 feet across. Happened near the top of nisqually chute about 2:40pm.
