Whumphing observed in specific wind-loaded features near ridgelines above 5,000 ft on west to southwest aspects. Small cracks propagated from the skin track in isolated areas. Large cornices have formed on the east side of the ridge from Eldorado pass to Iron Peak, hanging into the Beverly Creek drainage. Snowfall totals were ~6” between 4,000–5,000 ft and 12”+ between 5,000–6,000 ft. Skiing was good at upper elevations; conditions were poor below, with shallow powder concealing rocks, dirt, and shrubs.
