My partner and I summited Stickney via the standard (One Acre Lake) route using just boots, crampons, and ice axes. The upper layer consisted of <10cm freshly fallen snow from the previous day over a knife hard base layer of variable undetermined depth. The upper layer has a dry wind transported snow consistency on shaded slopes, and soft/shmooey consistency on sunnier slopes. The sunnier/warmer sections were shedding consistently in the afternoon, whereas some of the drier snow was resulting in visible wind transport when the breeze picked up (the wind seemed to be coming from the NW up the valley). A superficial weak soft slab was present with the new snowpack. It posed little concern except in steep slopes (45 degrees+): we were cautious when climbing up and down the col because of concerns over being carried down into possible terrain traps.
