Quick report

The skiing was great and the crust around 30 cm down helped to stay off the abundant rocks in Jenny Bowl. We ski-cut a couple of steep south and east test slopes but could not get anything to budge. No red flags were observed however early season hazards are abundant.

The winds were calm; however, a high wind warning was issued for later in the afternoon which may have caused more severe wind loading. We must've missed it, though.

Snowpack

At 7866 feet on a Southwest slope, there was about 90 cm of total snow with about 12 cm of new snow from this weekend's storm. There was a melt-freeze crust about 30 cm down. Our ECT produced no propagation but it fractured at that crust at 20 taps.
