~6" of new low-density snow with very little wind effect. No observed cracking or collapsing the entire day except for that random pocket. No observed natural activity. The picture is the first member's track; the second member turned above the first track and triggered the panel near the alders.
Avalanche
Second party member triggered isolated (10" deep, 15' wide, AS D2 R2) soft slab avalanche just after the choke in Fleur de Lis couloir (N aspect, 45-50°, 4700'), was carried about 300' linearly (~150' vertically) to bottom of couloir. Claimed to have been fully submerged twice, came to rest partially buried with airway clear and no injuries. First party member had stopped in a safe location, kept eyes on, and was beginning coarse search when victim was seen unburied. Party did not feel that they should have done anything differently in hindsight.
