-New snow 12-18”, light density, fluffy -Partly cloudy, high fast moving clouds, short to brief periods of sun exposure, little wind -No signs of instability or avalanches, noted large wind blown cornices at top of ridgeline on North side of peak -Stayed in trees and did not venture into open bowls/terrain, but snow remained deep even in and under the trees -Snowpack was right side up, very notable hard Christmas Crust, but didn’t affect skinning or skiiing -Attempted our first column test and it did not fail on the Christmas crust as we suspected it might, but also…first-timers, so not perfect -Creek crossing snow bridges not fully filled or reliably stable -Lake fully frozen and snowed over
