Quick report
Today was cool (relative to recent temperatures) and pleasant in the alpine. Surfaces up high were generally firm and chattery but softening on sheltered solars by 2pm. Below 9k’ was a mixed bag of conditions with mostly ski-supportable moist and wet thin snow cover. A trace to 1” of snow had fallen yesterday above 8k’ and only remained in wind-sheltered locations (photo)… and set up perfectly for glopping midday (photo). No obvious signs of instability observed and holy wah the snow is melting fast!
