I skinned up to Nada Lake from the Snow Lakes Trailhead, coverage was minimal towards the bottom. There was about 2-3 inches of fresh snow on top of a crusty layer about 3/4 miles up. I planned to continue up the trail and ski down Aasgard pass but did not meet my time cut offs. More importantly, I heard numerous sounds of loud rockfall up the trail (west of Nada lake). Snow observations: -Isolated Cracking on the trail - Occasional "Whumpfing" -Small rollerballs were seen on short slopes -I loaded some cornices which had what appeared to be 4-6 inches of snow on them in an attempt to trigger a small slide, but the snow remained stable and did not break away. Overall, the snow seemed solid. I traveled mainly though simple terrain. Through avalanche chutes, it appeared that there was not enough snow accumulated to cause an immediate danger to me.
