A skier unintentionally triggered an R1 D1 wet loose avalanche on a 40 degree slope at 6200 ft on a SW aspect around 3pm. No one was caught or carried. The path was roughly 20 ft wide and ran several hundred feet. The crown depth was less than a foot and the avalanche terminated in some brush with peak debris depth around 3 feet. Several much smaller D1 R1 natural avalanches were observed on 45+ degree slopes near trees at similar elevations on SW, S, and SE aspects.
