Quick report

Skinning up to snow lake in the morning (starting at 6am), snow under the treeline was hard and packed on the boot/skin track. Above the treeline snow ranged from slushy to slush with a crust. At around 10am when we were descending from the snow lake divide down to snow lake (north slope of chair peak), we triggered lots of small (<D1) wet loose sluffs. We also saw some small (<D1) natural wet loose activity above us on the north slope of chair peak. Weather: Very warm, sunny with clear skies. Snowpack: Slushy and heavy above the treeline.

Avalanche
