Quick report
Between the sun, warm temps, and wind over the last week, snow surfaces were quite variable and ran the gamut of wind and sun influenced textures. It felt and looked more like May than December out there. Glide avalanches felt the most threatening today, and we moved quickly under known producers and steep slopes with glide cracks and wrinkled snow (like a giant pugs face). By the end of the day, we were initiating large pinwheels with our turns even on due north facing slopes below 5000ft. Besides glide avalanche activity on South side Table Mtn, did not observe any recent notable avalanche activity

Snowpack
Surface conditions ranged from moist snow, to breakable crust, to hard wind board, to settled powder. Best riding conditions were found on shady slopes above 5000 ft. Due to combo of win, sun, and warm temps, there didn't seem to be that much surface hoar or NSF present on the snow surface aside from sheltered, N facing slopes. We did find some seemingly fresh, small wind slabs above 5500ft on N facing slopes, but these weren't big enough nor widespread enough to create an avalanche problem.
