Skiing was pleasant above 4k. Didn’t see any signs of instability. But upon digging down on the edge of the slidepath there was clearly a loose layer of what i’d assume were facets 3-4” thick below the crust at about 2ish feet down, they readily fell out of the wall were we dug. The snow on top of that was light and unconsolidated. And definitely hadn’t slabbed up yet.
