There is a breakable sun crust on west aspects above 4000' measuring about 5cm thick. Below that is about 1' of relatively dry snow from the past week, and then further below is a 10cm crust from the previous weekend's warming event, on top of very wet snow. None of these crusts were particularly supportive to boots and I punched through above the knee. The breakable crust resulted in some pretty terrible skiing conditions.
