The only moving snow we saw was one surface slough in a steep spot that ran about the length of a ski turn. There was about an inch of new snow over a light crust. The crust was on all aspects and wasn't there yesterday. We wonder if it was possibly caused by moisture deposited directly from the surface level clouds? We performed two isolated column tests on a 28degree slope, ENE aspect at 6000'. HS was 90cm. We found the Dec7 crust at 25cm above the ground, and the solstice crust at 65cm above the ground. We had sudden planar results on hand and elbow taps both above and below the solstice crust, and failure at the ground in both tests (on elbow taps). All slab layers at this spot were medium dense or less (1F or softer)
