Favorable early season conditions in the Harts area. HS60 at Brown Bear. Wind transport only observed at high ridge crests (7k’), while most terrain held consistent surfaces without effect of wind, sun, or surface hoar. We failed to locate weaknesses adjacent to melt-freeze crusts, but did not test deeply shaded aspects. Primary hazards remained buried stumps, veg, and rocks. Dead Horse is shallow and rocky.
