Tipton summit

Our group traveled in southern blue mountains. With recent new snowfall of 2ft or more we stayed below tree line and relatively low angle all day. We traveled from Tipton summit to greenhorn and back. There was several wind loaded NE slopes and some obvious snow movement that had occurred. Winds were very calm all day for us with heavy snowfall at times. We did experience 2 localized collapses with no propagation or cracks noted. We dug snow pit on a north face with 20 degree slope angle, and mostly sheltered from wind. 210cm snow noted at this location with 60cm new. ECT 15 showed fracture at 25cm which was new snow overnight. No propagation noted. Overall in the terrain we traveled snow was stable minus the collapses near greenhorn in some more technical terrain.
