Moderate winds all day, predominantly from the south. Widespread wind effect was creating 10-30cm slabs above 7000.' In most locations, the forming wind slabs were soft and had irregular fracture characteristics in hand pits, but on ridge tops, it was easy to find firm wind slabs with shooting cracks.

We could see this avalanche looking south from Phat Ridge. Initially, we thought it was a natural slide but it is possible that there are wind-filled tracks on the looker's right side of the path.
