Snowpack

Very shallow snow coverage exists on northerly aspects in the Barker Pass area.  3 to 5'' of snow was observed from 7500' up to 8200' on these shaded aspects with minimal to bare ground on southerly slopes.  The shallow snow here was mostly made up of faceted snow and crusts.  The faceted snow in this area was moist and starting to show signs of rounding, unlike other recent observations around the forecast region.  With the minimal snow coverage, only the smoothest slopes and terrain had any sort of continuous snow coverage at this point.
