Weather
Observed westerly winds hiking up from kite lake. Winds were variable from calm to gusts estimated over 40 mph. Generally winds were in the 15 - 25 mph range from my estimation. Temperature at kite lake was 25 F according to the thermometer on my truck.
Snowpack
Snowpack was virtually non-existant below 13,500' except for isolated pockets. This is expected given the aspect of this area, but there were some pockets that had upwards of a foot of drifted snow.
