Interesting conditions on Morfee Mountain. 75cms of total snowpack and two prominent rain crust/melt freeze layers that are reactive. Facets exist underneath both of these rain/melt freeze crusts and are reactive to Moderate and Hard triggers- CTM 19 down 30cm on Rain crust and interface of Facets/Surface Hoar (sz 3mm) SP CTH 24 down 55cm on Melt Freeze crust and interface of Facets/Surface Hoar (sz 6 mm) SP These two layers exist everywhere throughout the North Eastern North Rockies within the upper metre of the snowpack and have also provided similar results. Because Morfee has a shallower snowpack depth, it is easier to trigger. HST 25cm
