Frozen Pirate AST2 Field Day 1 Allen Creek

Overall riding is ok. Much lower new snowfall than areas down south in the region (chappell creek). Across the road in the north columbias (clemina) reported to have seen a bit more storm snow. No major avalanche hazard noticed throughout the days extensive travels.

Main info is from a machine accidental on 180111. Sz1 slab. Other info related to several loose snow sluffs in steep terrain.

Dec15 down avg of 30cm treeline and below. Jan 5 down 17cms at 2000m. Moderate CT results 30cm down sudden collapse on surface hoar to 10mm / facets. See attached photo from NE asp. Isolated new surface hoar growth in sheltered areas.
