Quick Observation

We were pleasantly surprised by the winter conditions we found on north and sheltered areas above 2000m. The powder was nice and dry in the morning and early afternoon. We played on treeline and alpine slopes. As the sun hit the slopes we were playing on we moved away from the runout zones and headed on a tour up towards Mt. Harrison. We saw a few natural storm slab avalanche to size 2 and one deep persistent cornice triggered avalanche. See avalanche tab for details.
