Snowpack

Instability Comment

Was able to easily trigger wind slabs on upper elevation north facing. In general, the wind slabs were thin, but a few pockets pulled out up to a foot deep. The wind slabs in semi-sheltered terrain were the most sensitive as they were being deposited over the light density snow from Monday. This light density snow from Monday faceted a bit Monday night and Tuesday. As a result, would expect that some of these wind slabs may stay sensitive tomorrow. In addition, they will be covered up with new snow tonight, and will be harder to recognize.

Highly variable, but still snow soft snow on sheltered north facing slopes.
