Snowpack

Instability Comment

Dug a quick test pit. Roughly 140 cm deep, with a pretty cohesive slab below the new snow (maybe 10 cm) down to the weak layer at 8 cm. Between 6 cm and 8 cm there was a pretty decent ice crust, but large faceted snow above and below it. Both CT and ECT tests failed on the faceted snow on top of the crust. The facets acting just like ball bearings for the slab.
