Skier caught and carried and was able to self-arrest on bed surface. Failed on faceted snow.

On the day before (March 1) UDOT BCC reported an explosive triggered avalanche with heli bombing. Failed on January facets and depth hoar. Three avalanches 3'-4' deep x 200' wide and running 1000' vertical. Reported as steep rocky unsupported terrain.
