Quick Observation

Slide path showed significant wind effect. We skiied in the Xmas trees, which had surprisingly good skiing and protected snow stashes. Slide path skiied like a chopped up groomer at the resort. Surprisingly good ski quality. Good coverage below the last bench of the path. No signs of instability. The skin track goes up the middle of the path at the construction where “top hat” slide path joins emerald. We opted to put in a higher skin track on lookers left through the trees slope to avoid this terrain trap. Skiing in the tree triangle between top hat and emerald slide path was the best - soft and loaded with pow. Skiing from the col was the worst quality of the entire path (very wind effected). The snow quality was light and fluffy - warmed up a bit in the afternoon.
