Quick Observation

Everything in sight slid on all aspects. Storm snow sliding 45cm deep and propagating as wide as terrain allowed. Every pocket in even thick trees slide. Couldn’t see alpine but could see debris that had come down from above tree line. Dug a little on Friday, see snow profile report for details. We only walked around on Saturday - too dangerous to move on any slope. Friday we made very conservative choices and got a small safe lap in before the storm hit.

Snowpack

Hard but consistent failure 95cm deep on Friday - now 130 cm deep in wide spread DH in tree line. Natural failures and human triggered from a group before our arrival. Storm slab also failing at CTM8 30-50cm deep but RP.
