Quick Observation

The sledding to start the day was a scratcher's required morning, as we traveled the snow started to soften. Once at Harvey we toured up an east-facing slope that was well shaded from the sun and the most recent snow was still soft as we gained elevation. Once on the ridge, the south-facing snow was moist even at 2200m we decided to ski down the same east-facing slope we came up, there are massive cornices along the ridge so we stayed well away from them. The skiing was decent and got progressively heavier as we dropped elevation. We saw a ton of terrain today and only observed wet loose avalanches out of steep solar facing slopes. The afternoon temperature at 2000 m was +5 and the sun was packing the heat!! Winds were light out of the south-west and helped to keep us cool on the tour up. Snow right from Corbin staging area and great grooming!
