Rogers Pass April 1-2

Wind effect everywhere not sheltered. Temperature effect (crusty, punchy or heavy, depending on time of day) all aspects below 1700 m. Goldilocks band in north-facing trees above 1700 m!

Traveling in Loop Brook (Bonney Moraines) and Asulkan (Sapphire Col) over the past two days. No new avalanches observed. Constant wind transport from the SW created variable surface conditions, with isolated areas of drummy, hard wind slab, but no reactivity to skiing or ski cutting on steep wind loaded rolls.
