Quick Observation

Witnessed a natural size 1.5 loose dry up in the alpine. Heard multiple other natural avalanches in alpine terrain from treeline. Snow up to treeline was very thin. At treeline, there was a shallow snowpack (I'd say 30 cms on average). A sun crust was found at treeline on NE/E aspects overlayed with varying amounts of unconsoildated powder up to 15 cms. Still very rocky in the alpine. Wind gusting up to 40km/hr NW towards the end of the tour at 6pm.
