Avalanche Information

Persistent slab triggered by a skier at a thin spot on rocks propagated 15m above the skier into deeper snowpack and released on a convex roll. The slab was running on facets. No signs of instability noted before the incident.

Incident

Avalanche was triggered by 3rd skier in the group which was taken down about 20m and ended up being partially buried but not injured. 1st skier was at a safe spot lower down. 2nd skier was impacted by the running mass, slid 15m but managed to stay on the surface.
