Quest for the crest

Did Avalanche Crest today, fast travel up the summer and great riding up high. The lower ~400 m of the descent is pretty bushy. We got some reactivity on the Dec 5th SH on big pillows while skinning over them, didnt seem to bother anything else. Limited signs of instability, a few small cracks on ski penetration. Lots of sluff on steep slopes, ran for at least 3 or 4 body lengths. It seems the cold is keeping the surface of the snow from bonding and causing issues on the Dec 5th SH so far. Loose dry might be an issue in the coming days?
