We toured the Dolomite Circuit, and skied Helen Ridge and Puzzle Ramp along the way.
Helen Ridge was nice creamy snow, didn’t feel the crust while skiing. Puzzle Ramp was thin and sharky.
The day started overcast, and cleared to few clouds around 1200. Temps ranging from -8 to -1. Winds calm to light.
Feb 3 crust was present throughout, with 5-20 recent/transported snow on top. Some visible wind effect on E aspects.
We observed numerous natural loose snow avalanches to size 1.5 on solar aspects, and few natural slab avalanches to size 2 on various aspects. All in alpine and TL. All appear to be at least 48hrs old.
