North Arm Hills

A day in the North Arm Hills. Excellent groomed approach from the Birtchy Head access. Despite the low snowpack, some good light snow and fun to be had on a sled, in the lowland meadows. The trails were hard and smooth, like a lot of the alpine terrain we saw. We saw no evidence of avalanche activity, and had test results that speak to a pretty locked-in snowpack. Alpine start zones may have isolated wind slab lurking. Sunny and enjoyable out there today!
