- <p>4-5" of grauple plus 1-2" of storm above it observed at empire pass in the flats. More accumulation of grauple than I've ever seen in utah. Grauple poools 4' deep in areas under steep terrain. Snow turned to stellars and dendrites and temps cooled. Grauple layer has set up pretty fast with how high the moisture content is. Dust layer on old snow surface is what has me most curious in days to come. Cracking observed in wind blown snow drifts under snow machine trigger. Hand in photo for scale against grauple obs wall.</p> <p>Persistent weak snow structure still present in northern aspects. Both basal facets and near surface facets from the clear weather. </p>
