Quick report
- Collapsing
- widespread
It’s pretty apparent that our snowpack is still lacking summer stability and characteristics. Down low and in the flats the sun cupping and dust are very present and I would consider most aspects up to 11,200 to be isothermic and supportive without a freeze. Around 11,500 and up things are feeling much more like an early May snowpack. Booting was nearly impossible even in the dark this morning.
Avalanche
A few long running slow loose wet avalanches on my early morning bail off south Ruby.
