Quick report
It started as light rain last night and turned to snow for an hour or so, then at midnight started back up steady but light with 5½" new snow and 0.40" of water (also 0.02" rain). Currently obscured with light snow and light to no wind from the SW. Snowpack is that 5½" which fell.
The September and October precipitation total was twice the average for that time period but it was all but 3" as rain, thus the snowfall total up to today (and probably even including today) was the least in my 54 years here (though my official data only goes back 52 years). The average low temp. for November 17 is 11½ºC (11ºF) but we have not even gotten that low yet this year. Welcome to the new normal.
